WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING

* WHAT...Heavy snow and blizzard conditions possible. Total snow
accumulations of 2 to 6 inches possible. Winds could gust as
high as 45 mph producing significant blowing and drifting of
snow.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east-central, north-central and
northeast Kansas.
* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Rain will change to snow through the
afternoon hours of Saturday, with snow expected to rapidly
accumulate through the evening. Plan on road conditions quickly
becoming very slippery. Areas of blowing snow could
significantly reduce visibility, with blizzard conditions
possible.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Winter Storm Watch means there is the potential for significant
snow accumulations and blowing snow that may impact travel.
