DRIVER: 56 year-old male, Moreno Valley resident
VEHICLE: 2015 Ford F150 Pickup, white in color.
On February 21, 2019, at approximately 08:08 AM, Milpitas Police Department and Milpitas Fire Department personnel responded to a traffic collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian near the intersection of California Circle and Dixon Landing Road. The pedestrian was struck while crossing the street in a crosswalk.
The pedestrian, an 84 year-old male Milpitas resident, was transported by paramedics to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver, a 56 year-old male, Moreno Valley resident and the involved vehicle, a white 2015 Ford F150 pickup, remained at the scene and the driver is cooperating with the investigation. Alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the collision. Officers are still actively investigating the collision and are seeking witnesses.
