Wind Advisory until 06:00AM Sunday
The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 6 PM this evening to 6 AM CST Sunday.
* TIMING... Northwest winds will increase this evening and into the overnight hours.
* WINDS...Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph.
* Visibility...Visibilities will fall to one half mile or less at times.
* IMPACTS...Limited visibilities will make for hazardous driving conditions on area roads. Motorists should use caution while driving today and tonight on area roadways. Outdoor objects could become displaced if not secured properly.
* AFFECTED AREAS: SHANNON ... CAMDEN ... TEXAS ... LACLEDE ... OREGON ... PULASKI ... DOUGLAS ... PHELPS ... WRIGHT ... HOWELL ... OZARK ... DENT
Instructions:
A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
