Flood Warning until 02:00AM Thursday
Russian River near Hopland affecting Mendocino County Navarro River at Navarro affecting Mendocino County Eel River at Fernbridge affecting Humboldt County Periods of light to moderate rain will occur through Tuesday. The heaviest rains will spread south across Mendocino County during the remainder of Monday into Tuesday. Heavy rain will spread back over Humboldt and Trinity Counties Tuesday morning. The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a
* Flood Warning for the Russian River near Hopland.
* from late tonight to late Wednesday night...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 2:00 PM Monday the stage was 5.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* FORECAST...This river is Forecast to rise above 15.0 FT late Monday night then forecast to rise above monitor stage of 18.0 FT early Tuesday afternoon then expected to peak near flood stage of 21.0 FT Tuesday evening then forecast to fall below monitor stage of 18.0 FT late Wednesday morning then forecast to recede below 15.0 FT Wednesday evening and continue receding.
* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Minor flooding is possible of low-lying structures near the railroad tracks near Hopland. Cropland begins to flood along the right bank near Hopland. Highway 175 near the Russian River likely closed due to flooding.
* FLOOD HISTORY...This crest compares to a previous crest of 21.1 feet on Jan 5 1965.
