Flood Warning until 01:30AM Wednesday

The National Weather Service in Eureka California has issued a

* Flood Warning for Small Streams in... Southeastern Mendocino County in northwestern California...

* Until 130 AM PST Wednesday.

* At 135 PM PST, numerous reports of flooding have been observed across this area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ukiah, Willits, Ukiah Municipal Airport, Hopland, Boonville, Potter Valley, Philo, Talmage, Yorkville, Redwood Valley and Calpella. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Small streams and creeks will rise sharply in this area. Widespread ponding water will affect low lying areas and over topping creeks will cause localized flooding. Culverts blocked by debris will lead to localized flooding in many locations. Rock and mudslides are likely to occur above roads in steep areas during periods of heavy rainfall.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
