Eel River Near Scotia affecting Humboldt County Light to occasionally moderate rains will continue across the region through the afternoon. The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a

* Flood Warning for the Eel River Near Scotia.

* from this afternoon to this evening...or until the warning is cancelled.

* At 2:15 AM Wednesday the stage was 40.1 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 51.0 feet.

* FORECAST...The river is expected to rise to flood stage this afternoon.

* FORECAST...This river is forecast to rise above monitor stage of 45.0 feet this morning, then expected to rise above flood stage of 51.0 feet this afternoon, then forecast to fall below flood stage of 51.0 feet this afternoon, then forecast to fall below monitor stage of 45.0 feet late this evening.

* IMPACTS...At 52.0 feet, minor flooding in the Shively area is possible. Major flooding of the River's Edge RV Park in Rio Dell. Occupants of park need to move their vehicles.

* FLOOD HISTORY...This crest compares to a previous crest of 51.1 feet on Feb 17 1986.

* AFFECTED AREAS: HUMBOLDT, CA
