On February 26, 2019 deputies with the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office and school officials investigated an incident involving a student in possession of gummy candy laced with an alleged controlled substance. Through investigation, it was learned a 14 year old female student was in possession of the gummy candy and another student was transported to the hospital after consuming the candy. Authorities are investigating additional suspects and a search warrant has been executed. The investigation is ongoing. Sheriff John Plasse Vigo County Sheriff’s Office
