Robbery Suspect Arrested
Yesterday, 2/26/19, a man reported to the Folsom Police Department that he had been assaulted and robbed at Safeway on Prairie City Road.
The Victim stated he saw a woman shoplifting from the store, so he went to the parking lot and began to take a picture of the license plate on her getaway car. While he was taking the picture, an adult man jumped out of the driver seat, chased the victim through the parking lot, tackled him, and then stole his wallet.
Folsom Special Investigations Unit (SIU) detectives identified the driver as 19 year old Yamni Plagensclarin, of Rescue. Today, 2/27/19, SIU Detectives located Plagensclarin in Placerville, and arrested him for the robbery. He was booked into the Sacramento Jail.
A photo of Plagensclarin is attached.
While the Folsom Police Department appreciates the unwavering support of the community, we would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the dangers in approaching or following a suspect involved in a crime. One can't be certain what other kinds of criminal activity that suspect might dabble in, and you never know how a suspect might react to the thought of being identified or caught by law enforcement. Please keep your safety in mind first, above all else.
