On April 2, 2019, the Simi Valley Police Property Crimes Detective Unit made a second arrest regarding the below documented case. Kelsee Kailee Williams (20 yrs) was arrested and booked for violations of 487(a) PC- Grand Theft, 182(a)(1) PC- Conspiracy , and 490.4(a) PC- Organized Retail Theft.

At the time of Williams arrest, stolen property was recovered from newly identified crime at Old Navy in Cerritos which occurred on 3/27/19.

Williams was complicit in numerous organized retail thefts from Old Navy stores across several cities in Southern California between January and March 2019. She was also responsible for the organized retail theft at the Simi Valley Macy’s in January 2019, where she was captured on surveillance video with her co-conspirator, arrestee Danielle Graham.

Over the course of the last two months, the Simi Valley Police Department’s Property Crime Detectives, along with Loss Prevention Agents, began investigating a series of thefts from clothing stores. During this timeframe a female suspect, later identified as Danielle Graham (23 YOA) from Los Angeles, was targeting clothing stores in the southern California area. Graham’s crime spree included two stores within Ventura County.

With evidence obtained, Detectives obtained a Search Warrant for Graham’s residence. On 02-28-19, Detectives served this Search Warrant in the City of Los Angeles. Evidence was located during this service, linking Graham to numerous thefts. Graham was arrested and booked into Ventura County Main Jail for the following charges: 487(a) PC/Grand Theft, 187(a)(1) PC/Conspiracy, and 490.4(a) PC/Organized Retail Theft.

Highlighting 490.4(a) PC, this is a newer law enacted in January 2019 in an effort to forestall these types of crime sprees.
