Este es un mensaje de emergencia. Para espanol, llame a 211. Gracias. If you live or work in the Kelso Creek communities, please pay close attention to this message. Due to recent weather, the flood control embankment along Kelso Creek may be impacted. Local roads may flood, preventing residents in the Kelso Creek communities from leaving the area to seek alternative shelter. Residents in the Kelso Creek communities of Powers Tract, Weldon Valley Ranchos and Valley Estates are recommended to evacuate as quickly as possible. A recommended evacuation means that flooding is an imminent threat and all persons in the affected area are strongly advised to leave and seek shelter away from the area. A recommended evacuation will likely be the last warning given. An evacuation center will be opened at the South Fork Middle School, 5225 Kelso Valley Road in Weldon. Animal Services will assist with sheltering dogs and cat pets at the center. As a safety precaution, do not drive or walk across moving water, mud, or other debris flow. Additionally, if you have physical limitations and require evacuation transportation assistance, please call the Aging and Adult Services hotline at 1-855-264-6565.
