SUSPECT: Steven Weber, 39 years old, Pomona
Damaged Vehicles: 2009 Cadillac CTS, 2013 Honda Accord, 2015
Chevy Malibu, 2016 Mazda CX5 & 2018 Toyota Highlander
NARRATIVE:
On March 6, 2019 at approximately 2:50 PM, Pomona Police Officers responded to the Target parking lot in regards to several vehicles being keyed. When officers arrived, they were able to locate 5 vehicles that were keyed. However, the suspect fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival. It was determined that the suspect caused a total of $8,000-$10,000 of damage to the 5 vehicles.
During the investigation, officers gathered security video and photos from Target’s sophisticated security camera system. The video showed the suspect leaving the store and walking out to the parking lot where he proceeded to key random vehicles. Officers conducted a second area check of one of the local parks where the suspect may have fled to after the crime. Officers were able to locate the suspect in the park. The suspect was positively identified and arrest for felony vandalism.
