central and northeast Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Dense fog will reduce visibilities to a quarter or a mile across
parts of east central Kansas this morning. A dense fog advisory
has been posted until 10 am this morning.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Thunderstorms are possible across east central and parts of
northeast Kansas Saturday morning, generally along and east of a
line from Emporia to Hiawatha. These storms may be capable of
damaging winds and locally heavy rainfall.
West and northwest winds are forecast to strengthen Saturday
afternoon and gust to around 45 MPH across most of the area. Loose
and light weight objects could be blown away. Driving high
profile vehicles could be difficult.
A wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet is possible Tuesday
morning for areas generally along and north of a line from
Concordia to Holton. Confidence in there being a wintry mix is
not high, so be sure to check back for the latest forecast.
