The Jackson Police Department is pleased to announce Officer Andrew Washburn as March "Employee of the Month." Officer Andrew Washburn has been employed with the Jackson Police Department for approximately five years and currently serves in the Patrol Division.
Around the city, Officer Washburn is known for his awesome attitude when dealing with the public and with fellow officers. He lends a helping hand to those in need going above and beyond the call of duty. He is a dependable officer that can be counted on to handle assignments given him.
Officer Washburn is a very proactive officer who thinks outside the box in efforts of addressing community issues. Over the years, he has developed and improved his skill for working on narcotic and violent crime cases. Officer Washburn regularly attends specialized training to learn new techniques and different ways to improve his skills.
Officer Washburn is dedicated to being a very good Community Oriented Police Officer. He is known for taking extra time to speak with people in the community and provide solid advice to young people in his area of responsibility. This has enabled him to become well-known and respected in the area he works.
Officer A. Washburn is not married but is the proud owner of a Pitbull named Odin.
