Gas Leak 
**UPDATE** The gas leak has been contained and it is safe to return back to your residence.
Gas leak in 200blk of Wood Av. Anyone who lives on Wood between Cedar and Section ST needs to evacuate. NKFD and NKPD are working on going door to door to notify residents. The Nekoosa Community Center is open for anyone that needs a warm place to stay. They are also advising not to start your vehicle if you live in the area.
Another Nixle message will be sent when the area has been deemed safe again by the fire department.
Instructions:
Evacuate if you live on Wood Av between Section and Cedar.
Do not start your vehicle if you live in the area.
