Dense Fog Advisory until 10:00AM
Dense fog will be possible this morning across much of the Concho Valley, Big Country, and Heartland. The fog may reduce visibilities to a quarter mile or less at times. A very strong upper level storm system will sweep across Texas tonight. This storm system will then produce very high winds on Wednesday, as its associated cold front moves across Texas. The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 10 AM CDT this morning.
* TIMING...Dense fog advisory through 10 AM. High Wind Watch Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.
* WINDS...From the southwest at 30 to 40 mph, with possible gusts to 60 mph.
* VISIBILITY...1/4 mile or less.
* Impacts...Hazardous driving conditions this morning due to low visibilities. Very hazardous driving conditions and possible wind damage.
* AFFECTED AREAS: TOM GREEN ... STERLING ... SHACKELFORD ... FISHER ... TAYLOR ... COKE ... HASKELL ... IRION ... NOLAN ... RUNNELS ... JONES ... CALLAHAN
Instructions:
A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for a hazardous high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph...or gusts of 58 mph or stronger may occur. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts. A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving...slow down... use your headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
