* AFFECTED AREA... San Juan Mountains...San Miguel Mountains...Rico Mountains...Uncompahgre Plateau and Dallas Divide...La Garita Mountains...Front Range

* AVALANCHE DANGER...Dangerous avalanche conditions exist...Considerable danger...level 3 of 5

* REASON... Intense recent snowfall and strong winds made for very dangerous avalanche conditions but conditions are easing as we move further away from the storm. Large and destructive avalanches are possible.
