Electronics recycling Saturday morning, in the Village of Carrier Mills. The event is held on the Carrier Mills Municipal Building Parking lot, located at 101 North Mill Street, from 9 a.m. until truck is loaded. Some fees apply.

No longer can you throw electronics away and they be taken to a landfill. Anything that can be plugged in is required to be recycled. So on Saturday a recycler will be present and will collect anything that you can plug in and no longer works or you don't want. For a very small cost you have a local location to dispose of electronics properly.

Console TV's and big screen TV's are $10. Small screen TV's, computer monitors and small flat screens all cost $5 to be recycled.

Due to recycling costs, the following items are no longer accepted for free: Vacuums, microwaves, DVD & Vcr's, printers and copiers now cost a $1 to be recycled.

So, if you have an old TV or your refrigerator has quit and you don't know what to do with it? Bring it to the electronics recycling and disposal event in Carrier Mills, this Saturday. No paint, and no tires will be accepted.

The event is not limited to Carrier Mills residents, anyone from the area may bring electronic items to be disposed of properly
