Today’s Throwback Thursday we have Patrolman Dave Vannoni. In 2006 he was hired by the Gloucester Township Police Department as a police dispatcher. He earned his certification as an Emergency Medical Technician in 2007, and served in that capacity both on the street and in a local Emergency Department. In 2011 he was hired as a full-time officer with GTPD and attended the Camden County Police Academy where he earned an award for academic excellence. As a patrol officer he had the opportunity to fill in as a back-up School Resource Officer (SRO). He was then selected and trained as a LEAD officer in early 2015. He is actively involved in many of the juvenile enrichment programs offered through our department but is currently assigned to the Operations Division Third Platoon. He continues to serve as a valuable member of the Community Relations Bureau and assists different events held throughout town. In addition to his police career, Ptl. Vannoni continues to serve his community as a volunteer firefighter/EMT. #TBT #3rdGearPolicing
