On Friday, at 1:33 AM, the Ripon Police Department received numerous reports of a reckless driver in the area of the Fulton Ave. round about.  Ripon Officers responded to the area and located several tire friction marks in the roadway and damage to the curb.  In addition, officers located tire friction marks in several other areas throughout the city.
Through a diligent investigation by the officers on scene, the responsible vehicle was located abandoned on the roadway.  Ripon Detectives continued the investigation and through viewing surveillance video determined numerous citizens were put at risk due to the suspects reckless driving.  Detectives were able to identify a suspect, Cameron Hal (30 years of Modesto).  He was taken into custody for reckless driving and vandalism.  He was booked and released from the Ripon Police Department.
