One Injured After Being Shot

Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that on Saturday, 03/23/2019 at 0019 Hours, his office was called to investigate a shooting that occurred on Starbrick St near Tharp Lake Rd in Mason Township, Cass County Michigan. 57 year old, Edwardsburg resident, was in his house when unknown subjects came to his house demanding to talk to him. When homeowner did not come outside the subjects started to fire a gun into the house through his window injuring the homeowner. With his injuries he was then transported to Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart Indiana. (As of 11:00 Saturday morning victim is in stable condition) At this time the case still remains under investigation suspects are unknown at this time.
