Daytime Burglar Arrested
On 3/23/19, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Morgan Hill Police responded to an address on Tilton Ave in Morgan Hill on a report of a possible burglary in-progress. The reporting party told MHPD dispatch that she saw an unknown female subject in her backyard and then heard a window breaking. The reporting party locked herself in a bathroom while police responded to the scene. As police units arrived at the residence, it was determined the female suspect was still inside the home. Officers developed a perimeter and waited for additional resources. The suspect then exited the residence through the front door carrying a bag of stolen property. The suspect attempted to run from the police but was quickly taken into custody. The female suspect had sustained injuries while entering the residence through the broken window. 18-year-old Jessica Esparza Andrade was treated for her injuries and later booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on multiple felony charges to include burglary and possession of stolen property.
