Deputies arrest four juveniles, all students of Silverado High School for Robbery

SUMMARY: On March 21, 2019, at approximately 10:00 am, four male juvenile suspects approached and surrounded a male juvenile victim on the campus of Silverado High School. The suspects demanded the victim give them his backpack and cell phone. After the victim complied, at least two of the suspects punched the victim and chased him around the school campus, continuing to physically assault him.
The incident was recorded on a cell phone by a witness. The video was shared on social media and on March 25, 2019, the video was sent to school administrators and the Victorville Police Department. Victor Valley Union High School District and the Victorville Police Department immediately launched an investigation into the incident, identifying the victim and suspects, all of which were students at the high school.
On March 26, 2019, Deputy M. Forsberg with the Victorville Police Department, located one of the 14-year old suspects and the 15-year old suspect. Both were arrested and booked at High Desert Juvenile Detention Center for robbery. On March 27, 2019, the two remaining suspects were arrested and booked at the juvenile facility for robbery. The case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review and consideration of further charges.
