Possible ‘Felony Lane Gang’ Related Thefts
South Londonderry Police are investigating ‘smash and grab’ purse thefts from two vehicles parked outside Paramount Fitness, 21 Landings Drive, on March 16, 2019. The passenger windows were smashed with the purses taken. A witness reported seeing a black male exit a black in color Hyundai Sante Fe Sport with and unknown Florida registration and commit the thefts. Both Victims had left their purses on the passenger seat of their vehicle. The Victims credit cards were used about 30 minutes later, by a white or Hispanic male, to purchase gift cards.
On March 18, 2019, one of the Victim’s had their stolen checks used at three different Banks in Lancaster County, using the other Victim’s ID to cash the checks in the drive through. The suspect operated a silver Kia on this date displaying a registration stolen from Ephrata. Stolen checks were also used that had been taken during a ‘smash and grab’ purse theft from a vehicle in Ridgewood, NJ, in 2018.
The following day, March 19, 2019, the same suspect operated a black Nissan Rogue, displaying a PA tag that had been stolen from Manheim Township the previous date. The suspect again tried to pass a stolen check but was denied. The Bank was able to provide some photos of the suspect passing the checks on both dates. One of the Bank Tellers believed the person may have been a male wearing a blonde wig. Anyone who may recognize this subject or have information is asked to contact South Londonderry Township Police, (717)838-1376.
