SUSPECT #1: Sonjohnny Ba Le, 27-year-old San Jose resident.
SUSPECT #2: Lorena Jacqueline Reyna, 28-year-old transient
VEHICLE: 2002, Silver, Honda Civic
On April 1, at approximately 12:56 A.M., a Milpitas Police officer stopped Sonjohnny Le on the 300-Blk of Piedmont Rd. for a traffic violation. Lorena Reyna was a passenger inside the vehicle. Officers searched Le’s vehicle and found a loaded .380 caliber pistol hidden inside. He was also in possession of oxycodone and drug paraphernalia. A computer check of Le revealed that he was in violation of a served criminal protective order.
A computer check of Reyna revealed a misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. During a search of Reyna, officers located approximately 2.8 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Officers also determined that she was under the influence of a controlled substance.
Le was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for possession of a concealed firearm, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of a criminal protective order.
Reyna was booked into the Santa Clara County Mail Jail for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, under the influence of a controlled substance, providing a false identity and the misdemeanor warrant.
