Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives continue to assist Hawthorne Police Department with a shooting death investigation.
Just before 6 p.m. this evening, a couple who have a 17 month-old child together, were to meet at the Hawthorne Police Department to conduct a child exchange.

A containment was established in the area. At approximately 9:30 p.m. the suspect was located and arrested without incident on the 4400 block of 134th street.
A shotgun was recovered at the crime scene, just outside the doors of the Hawthorne Police Department.
The child was not injured.
