Death Investigation near Tom's Point in Tomales Bay. 
This afternoon around 1:00pm, Deputies along with Marin County Fire, Sonoma County Sheriff Henry 1 Helicopter and California Highway Patrol Helicopter H30 responded to reported persons in distress in Tomales Bay near Tom's Point.
Upon arrival, two subjects were pulled from the water by the Henry 1 Helicopter crew, with the assistance of two CHP Paramedics who attempted advanced life saving measures on one of the subjects who was found lifelss in the water. Unfortunately, despite rescue and life saving efforts by first responders, we can confirm that person was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other four subjects were treated at the scene and released.
The Marin County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division along with our Coroner Division are actively investigating this incident. At this time, no further information will be released pending further investigation by our Coroner Division, including Next of Kin notification.
The Marin County Coroner Division anticipates a press release being issued mid day tomorrow, April 10th, 2019 with additional details. Until that time, no further information will be released.
