New Brunswick Traffic Advisory for Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14
Rutgers University will be holding its Admitted Student Open House and Spring Football Game on Saturday, April 13, 2019 and the Rutgers Unite Half Marathon and New Brunswick Ciclovia on Sunday, April 14, 2019. As a result, the following temporary traffic closures and detours will be in place:
- Seminary Place will be closed to all vehicular traffic starting on Saturday, April 13 at 8:00am thru Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 4:30pm.
For Saturday, April 13, 2019
- All campuses will experience increased traffic 7:30am thru 2:00pm.
- Sutphen Road and Scarlet Knight Way will be closed from 12:00pm thru 6:00pm.
For Sunday, April 14, 2019
- College Avenue will be closed to all vehicular traffic starting around 6:30am.
- Local roadways will be subject to closures for short periods of time on the Busch, Livingston, and College Ave. Campuses beginning at 7:30AM.
- The Livingston Campus can be accessed via: River Road to Cedar Lane to Road 2 to Suttons Lane to Road 3. Parking will be in Lot 105. This access route will be used until approximately 10:30AM when the roads on the Livingston campus are scheduled to re-open.
- The Busch Campus can be accessed via: Hoes Lane West to Frelinghuysen Road to Allison Road. Parking will be in the lots located on Taylor Road and beyond. This access route will be used until approximately 11:00AM when the roads on the Busch campus are scheduled to be open.
- George St. will be closed between Paterson St. and Church St. between 10:00am and 4:00pm
All motorists are advised to use caution in the aforementioned areas and expect delays.
