Synopsis: A 42 year old man was riding his bicycle westbound in the eastbound bike lane of 8800 Balboa Avenue. A 25 year old male, driving a stake bed truck pulled out of a parking lot and struck the bicyclist. The bicyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The injuries include internal injuries and broken bones. SDPD traffic division is handling the investigation.
