#LASD Det’s Identified and Arrest Peninsula Assault Suspects

On Monday, March 25, 2019, Lomita Sheriff’s Station became of aware of a video posted on social media.  The video depicted a violent attack, which occurred in the parking structure of a shopping center, located in the 500 block of Deep Valley Drive, Rolling Hills Estates.  The assault occurred on March 22, 2019.   
                                                  
The video, recorded on a cellphone by an observer, depicted two males violently beating another male as he lay on the ground, defenseless.  They aggressively punched the victim in his upper body.  During the attack, the victim was kicked and items were taken from his pocket.
 
Despite the presence of witnesses around them, the suspects did not stop their attack; they mocked the victim and made light of the shocking incident. 
 
A second recording of the incident depicted the victim standing shirtless, being ordered to strip down to his underwear in front of others.
 
Lomita Station detectives investigated the videos and located the victim; he was identified as a young adult male diagnosed with autism.  They identified the suspects and obtained warrants for their arrest.
 
On Thursday, April 11, 2019, Declan Bell-Wilson, 18 years of age, of Rolling Hills, and Korey Streeter, 18 years of age, of Palos Verdes Estates, were arrested at their respective homes.  They were booked at Lomita Sheriff’s Station for the charges of Conspiracy, Assault and Robbery, and are each being held in lieu of $80,000.00 bail.
 
Several other juveniles present during the assault were also identified and detained.  The investigation is ongoing.
