Current forecasts are that the upper and central portions of the Brazos River basin in Northern Texas face the threat of severe weather with the potential for flash flooding tonight and Saturday. But, the entire basin will be affected in some part by these rain events, or the runoff flows generated by them, far into next week. 

With the rains that the areas north of Simonton received last weekend, the river is up and we expect it to remain at higher levels through next week.

We do not foresee any issues at this time, but the City will continue to monitor the situation.
