Another minor rescued from Human Trafficking by the Major Crimes Task Force

NARRATIVE:
On Saturday, April 13, 2019, the Pomona Police Department’s Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) conducted a VICE operation focused on the area known as the Holt Corridor. The operation used plainclothes officers who conducted surveillance along the Holt Corridor. During the course of the operation, officers encountered and rescued a 17 year-old victim of Human Trafficking. The victim was interviewed and appropriate resources were activated to assist the victim.
The MCTF is attempting to identify the human trafficker (pimp). This investigation is ongoing.
The Pomona Police Department is taking a proactive approach to improving the quality of life for the citizens of Pomona by addressing and deterring human trafficking and prostitution activities along the Holt Avenue corridor.
The Pomona Police Department takes a zero tolerance approach to Human Trafficking and sexual exploitation.
