Construction is currently scheduled to begin on Mountain Avenue on Monday, April 22, 2019 through May 03, 2019.
Except for emergencies, all work on Mountain Avenue will be performed between 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, WEATHER PERMITTING. Depending upon conditions, some work may be required on Saturdays. No parking will be allowed on Mountain Avenue and parts of Hatfield Street during the aforementioned time period and area of operation.
Mountain Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic during the construction from Hatfield Street to Forest Avenue in West Caldwell. If you need to leave your residence during the construction, please do so before 8:30 AM. All residents on Ferndale Road can access Mountain Avenue from Glenview Road to leave their residence and drive north. Mountain Avenue, Glenview Road, Hill Street, Orient Way, Arbor Road and Courter Lane residents can access Mountain Avenue and drive north to exit their reside nces.
All residents on the above named streets can return to their homes via the Forest Avenue/Mountain Avenue closure. The officer posted will allow you access.
Detours will be in place to direct all vehicular traffic.
Construction equipment and material will be stored on Mountain Avenue, Ferndale Road and Hatfield Street.
You will have uninterrupted night and weekend access to your homes and driveways
