The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... Cherokee County in southwestern North Carolina... Clay County in southwestern North Carolina...
* Until 1230 PM EDT.
* At 929 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated 1 to 3 inches of rain has already fallen across Cherokee and Clay counties over the last three hours. An additional inch or two will be possible over the next few hours as well, especially over northern Clay and Cherokee county border areas. As a result, flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Andrews, Murphy, Hayesville, Nantahala Lake, Shooting Creek, Tusquitee, Topton, Marble, Brasstown and Culberson.
