The City of Middleton and Dane County are working collaboratively on a planned reconstruction of University Avenue from just west of Park Street to Cayuga Street.

Phase 1 begins on Monday, April 22: a full closure of east and westbound traffic on University Avenue from Parmenter Street to Park Street goes into effect. Otherwise, University Avenue will be open to Park Street from the east and to Parmenter Street from the west. You can still easily access businesses on either side of the construction.

Local detours will not be marked, but the County's Beltline through-traffic detour will utilize Allen Boulevard and Century Avenue.

North-South cross-access at Bristol Street will be accommodated throughout most of the project, however, delays are likely and your patience appreciated.
