Synopsis: The suspect, a security guard at the El Camino Bar, got into an argument with a couple of patrons. The suspect made some threats, that something would happen to them. At about 0200 hours the victim and friends left the bar. The suspect followed the victim down to India Street and W. Laurel Street where they got into another argument. During the argument the victim punched the suspect in the face. The suspect pulled out a handgun and fired twice at the victim, striking him once in the lower abdomen. The suspect left the scene and went home. The victim was transported to the hospital with a non life threatening gunshot wound. The suspect called the police from his home and turned himself in to Mid-City officers who responded to the suspect's location. Central Detectives are investigating the incident.
