The annual Ashland Railroad Run will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019. The Ashland Police Department will begin temporarily closing roads starting at 7:30 a.m.

The course will include South Center Street (west side of the tracks only) and go as far north as Route 54 but will not interrupt traffic on Route 54; as far west as South James Street; as far south as Gwathmey Church Road.

South Center Street will be closed throughout the Run. Ashcake Road will be closed intermittently at South Center Street (railroad crossing).

Other streets contained within the race perimeter will be closed intermittently to include Cox Lane, Duncan Street (between Hanover Avenue and Early Street), South James Street, Hanover Avenue, Stebbins Street, Early Street, Howard Street and South Center Street. There will be police officers and race officials posted at various intersections to help with the flow of traffic.

Motorists are reminded that the Historic Garden Club tour will also begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 27. We ask that residents please use caution when travelling on Hanover Avenue, South James Street, South Center Street and Duncan Street during the Garden Tour.
