Sheriff Knudson is pleased to announce the Rock County Sheriff’s Office will be offering three Boater Safety Education Courses starting in April, 2019 at the Rock County Job Center, 1900 Center Ave., Janesville, WI. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office strongly encourages all boaters to take the boat safety course. You will learn safe boating techniques and gain knowledge that can keep you safe on the water this summer.
Anyone born on or after January 1st, 1989, is required to complete a boating safety course to legally operate a motorized boat or personal watercraft (PWC) on Wisconsin waters.
There is a class fee of $10.00 per student, which will be collected at the time of registration. A parent/guardian signature is required for all persons under the age of 18 and the underage student must be present with an adult parent or guardian at time of registration.

These Boater Safety Education Courses will be held on the following dates:
**Class#1**
Mandatory Registration: April 29th, at 6:00 p.m. at Rock County Sheriff’s Office
Class: May 11th, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Rock County Job Center
**Class#2**
Mandatory Registration: June 3rd, at 6:00 p.m. at Rock County Sheriff’s Office
Class: June 15th, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Rock County Job Center
**Class#3**
Mandatory Registration: July 8th, at 6:00 p.m. at Rock County Sheriff’s Office
Class: July 20th, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Rock County Job Center
