The Wisconsin River has crested and has gone down approximately two feet, returning to Moderate Flood Stage.

Portage Emergency Management and the Department of Public Works have determined that the streets are safe and will be open by the end of the day for public travel. The berm on Summit St is also been removed.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding over the last several days due to the inconvenience of streets being closed.
