HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – April 24th, 2019– The Hollister Police Department has made an arrest in a 2014 homicide case.

On April 21, 2019 Hollister Police detectives made contact with a man in the lobby of the police department who had stated to front office staff that he desired to make a statement about a shooting that occurred in the 2000 block of Scenic Circle on December 23rd of 2014. That shooting had been ruled a homicide, and resulted in the death of Raul De La Rosa, who 28 years old at the time.

Detectives made contact with Christopher Larios (32 years old, of Hollister) and interviewed him. Based on the substance of that interview, detectives arrested Larios and booked him at the San Benito County Jail on a charge of 187(a) pc – Murder, and 
245(a)(2) pc – Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Firearm). Larios’
bail is set at $1,050,000.00.

ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE: December 23, 2014 – On December 23, 2014 at about 3 am, Hollister Police Department officers responded to a medical aid call with Hollister Fire Department for a non-responsive adult male in the 2000 Blk. of Scenic Circle.
Officers found the male outside of a residence on Scenic Circle. Emergency medical aid was immediately administered by the Hollister Fire Department and AMR. The male was declared deceased after all lifesaving efforts were exhausted.
