Repairs are still ongoing. The water service outage area has been expanded to include Neal Street in Forest City as well as the water customers in the Concord and Ellenboro. Estimate of repairs are not available at time of press release. Will update as we have more information.

Momentarily the Town of Forest City's Water Department will be cutting off water services to customers on McCall Drive, McMurry Road, Woodbriar St and Ridgecrest Drive to allow crews to fix a damaged fire hydrant on East Main St. Damaged to the fire hydrant occurred today at 12:40 pm after being struck by a vehicle involved in a vehicle accident. Repairs are estimated to take approximately 4 hours. The water outage is only expected to affect the customers mentioned above.
