Synopsis: An unidentified male pedestrian was crossing westbound lanes of Palm Ave from north to south diagonally. A maroon SUV type vehicle was driving westbound in the #1 lane and struck the pedestrian. The vehicle fled the scene westbound Palm Ave. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the hospital and the vehicle was never located. There is no further vehicle description except it had front end damage and a broken headlight. San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating.
