St. Johnsbury World Maple Festival being held on Saturday, April 27th. Expect road closures. 
The St. Johnsbury World Maple Festival will be taking place on Saturday, April 27, 2019. To accommodate the festival, the following roads will be closed off during the festival (10:00 am to 3:00 pm):
- Railroad Street: Between Portland Street and the south entrance to Depot Square
- Eastern Avenue: Between Railroad Street and Pearl Street
- Depot Square: From the "Honking Tunnel" at Bay Street to the entrance to the Welcome Center
There is a 5K run that begins at 8:00 am that motorists should be aware of, which starts at the Welcome Center and proceeds south on Railroad Street to Main Street and down onto the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail, and returns via the same route.
The St. Johnsbury Police Department urges all motorists to respect road closures and detours.
