During the week of April 29, 2019, weather permitting, the following construction activities will be occurring:

·       Installation of the soldier pile retaining wall at the northwest corner of the Cherry Valley Road

/ Cherry Hill Road (north) intersection. Cherry Valley Road will be closed between Mountain View Road and the intersection of Cherry Hill Road (north). Residents of Cherry Valley Road within the work area will have access to their properties from Great Road. The intersection of Cherry Hill Road (North-South) will be open during this construction.  Weather permitting, it is anticipated that this work will be completed on Friday, May 10, 2019. At the end of each work day, Cherry Valley Road shall be restored to a passable condition and reopened.

·       Grading and temporary stabilization of embankments on Cherry Valley Road from Cherry Hill Road (north) to the eastern project limits.

·       Grading and installation of temporary asphalt pavement on the westbound side of Cherry Valley Road from Cherry Hill Road (north) to the eastern project limits. 

Please be advised that Cherry Valley Road remains closed to through traffic 24/7 in the work zone. Montgomery Police are enforcing this closure. Access for services and residents within the construction limits shall be maintained at all times during the closure. 

The contractor continues to minimize the amount of dust generated during construction by watering down the roadway to assist with the dust suppression.
