Synopsis: The victim was walking on the west curb of 1700 Commercial Street. A black male suspect was walking along the north curb. The suspect shot at the victim for an unknown reason. The victim was not hit and the two continued to walk away in opposite directions. San Diego Police officers arrived and the suspect was pointed out by witnesses. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. A revolver was found in the suspect's pants pocket. It was determined that three rounds had been fired from the revolver. Officers checked the area for the victim. However, no victim was ever located. The witnesses described the victim as a bald Hispanic or black male, 40 to 50 years old, 5'6" tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt and khaki shorts, along with a blue hat and white shoes. Central Division detectives responded and will be handling the investigation.
