Ashland PD Investigates Discharge of Firearm
The Ashland Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in developing information relating to the reckless discharge of a firearm.
On Sunday, April 28, 2019 at approximately 12:47 a.m., Ashland police officers responded to the area of the 500 block of North Washington Highway for a report of a discharge of a firearm.
No one was injured but subsequent investigation discovered nearby property was damaged. Evidence at the scene indicates that the individual responsible was most likely on foot in the area where the properties of Ashland Town Square Apartments and Ashland Woods Apartments meet. “Although this case resulted in the damage of property, the outcome could have been much worse so we need our community’s assistance in determining who committed this act so as to prevent future crimes,” said Chief Doug Goodman.
