Flood Warning until 10:20PM
Clinton River Thunderstorms overnight produced 2 to 3 inches of rain across metro Detroit. This cause a large slug of water to enter the Clinton River Basin from the south causing a rapid rise. Additional rainfall is expected later today through Thursday which may continue the high flows. The National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac has issued a
* Flood warning for the Clinton River in Sterling Heights and Clinton Township..
* From now until further notice.
* At 8 AM Wednesday the stage is 15.9 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast is to rise above flood stage by this afternoon... and crest around 16.2 feet this afternoon.
* AFFECTED AREAS: MACOMB, MI
