Over this past weekend, a failure in the water line to the HVac system in the Borough Hall caused a significant leak which compromised various areas of the building. Although the building remains structurally sound, there has been interior damage, most significantly to the Building Department.

To insure the safety of our staff and any resident who may enter the building, our Borough Administrator, Jerry Giaimis, has ordered an air quality assessment, along with other measures to remediate all damages caused by this unexpected leak. While this is taking place, the Municipal Building will be temporarily closed.

At this time, the Borough Administrator is organizing a temporary relocation of the Municipal staff, its critical assets and phone systems to continue to conduct business. Until full service and phone systems are restored, a temporary phone number has been set up to conduct priority business needs during regular business hours. This phone number is 201-264-1821. In addition, all progress and updates on the condition of the Borough Hall will be available on our website, SaddleRiver.org.
