Clinton River...Rouge River .Heavy rain up to 4 inches overnight caused significant rises in area rivers. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening. Widespread heavy rainfall is not expected. The forecast crests takes into account 24 hr forecast rainfall. A flood warning continues for Clinton River in Sterling Heights and Clinton Township..

* At 10 AM Wednesday the stage is 16.1 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Forecast...the river is at crest and should begin falling and go below flood stage late this afternoon.
