Detectives arrest a couple in connection with multiple robberies and thefts in various cities

SUSPECT(S): Marcos Valdez, 21-year-old resident of San Bernardino
Andrea Martinez-Delgado, 24-year-old residence of San Bernardino
VICTIM(S): Confidential - Multiple
SUMMARY:
On Friday, April 26, 2019 at about 3:08 p.m., Highland Deputies assigned to the Multiple Enforcement Team observed a red Dodge Caravan involved in a series of robberies and thefts in Highland, San Bernardino, Redlands, Yucaipa, and Fontana. They conducted a traffic stop in the area of Mountain Avenue and Citrus Street in the city of San Bernardino. The occupants were identified Marcos Valdez and Andrea Martinez-Delgado. Valdez, who was a person of interest in the incidents, and was arrested and booked for PC 211 Robbery, at the conclusion of the interview and investigation.
Since March, 2019, Valdez and Martinez-Delgado established communication with victims through mobile classified ad applications. They arraigned to meet victims to purchase electronics including iPhones and iPads at or near the victim’s residences. They arrived in a red Dodge Caravan with a female juvenile in the vehicle. During an incident in San Bernardino, Valdez produced a firearm and robbed the victim of an electronic device. During other incidents, Valdez either assaulted the victims or drove off without paying for the electronics when inspecting them.
Investigators are releasing Valdez’s booking photograph because they believe there are victims who have not been identified and/or did not report the crimes.
