On 5/04/2019, at approximately 2:04 AM, the Walnut Creek Police Department received a report of a physical fight involving multiple males, in the intersection of N. Main St. and Parkside Dr. Soon thereafter, the Walnut Creek Police Department received reports from John Muir Medical Center and Kaiser Hospital Walnut Creek, of three stabbing victims that were brought into the emergency departments. Additionally, the Contra Costa County Regional Medical Center later reported another male was brought into the emergency department for injuries sustained from being hit by a vehicle.
In the course of this investigation, it was determined that two separate groups of males were involved in an apparent road-rage incident, which resulted in three of them being stabbed or cut, and one being intentionally hit by a vehicle. The injuries sustained to all were moderate to serious, but not life threatening. Evidence was obtained to identify the involved males.
Joshua Beall and Phillip Chun were arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, with regard to the stabbings, and Christopher Delmonte was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, with regard to the subject being hit by a vehicle.
